Jessica Simpson has made herself a billion-dollar business with the Jessica Simpson Collection and now she’s expanding her line to activewear. Her new line will be called Jessica Simpson The Warm Up and is the first major expansion of her brand.
The line of “authentic workout apparel” will feature all the necessary components of activewear like moisture-wicking fabric, pockets for phones/keys, etc. Branching to activewear only seems natural for the brand. “Whatever was going on in Jessica’s life at the time, we said we should be there. We had been looking at active for a bit, trying to find the right partner. Jessica works out every day — pretty much an hour-and-a-half every day,” Tina Simpson told WWD. Tina is not only Jessica’s mom but also the creative director for the brand.
The Warm Up will feature performance leggings, sports bras and track jackets. Due out in October, the line will be sold exclusively at Macy’s to start and will retail for $24 to $49.
