Pop artist Rob Pruitt is the latest in a string of contemporary artists and photographers to collaborate with high-end shoe line Jimmy Choo.

In an interview with WWD Choo creative directors Sandra Choi and Simon Holloway said they were “captivated by Pruitt’s energy, his computer-screen use of color and the festive exuberance of his prints and materials.” Past Choo collaborators have included Nan Goldin, for the 2012 cruise Icons collection; Marilyn Minter for the 2011 Crystal collection; and Richard Phillips for the spring 2008 collection.

Pruitt’s line will debut as part of the brand’s 2013 cruise collection and will include shoes, handbags, and small leather goods, all no doubt infused with the artist’s playful pop sensibility (his latest work is a giant chrome Andy Warhol statue on display in Union Square).
