Juicy Couture pants are the best gift I have received in my almost 23 years of life. It was Hanukkah 2003 and my parents surprised me with an olive green velour pair. I pretty much haven’t taken them off since. They don’t have any fancy writing on the butt or top left thigh, but it was love at first sight. In high school, they were my pants of choice, in college they were part of my hangover cure and now they are my post-work/weekend uniform.
Yes, I still have these pants from over 10 years ago. They have survived probably over 1,000 washes and remain just as comfortable. And I’m not the only one who still wears her Juicy sweats. My friends and I talk all the time about how we shadily want another pair (sorry guys, secret’s out). So when news broke that old Juicy wasn’t closing forever but moving into Kohl’s stores, I had to find out if the pants would go down in price.
In their heyday, Juicy sweats were close to $100. Now at Kohl’s, they are only $40–just about half of what you (aka, your parents) spent in 2002. I am not ashamed to admit that this totally convinced me to buy another pair. I don’t think Beyonce or Kim Kardashian will be wearing Juicy again anytime soon, but I definitely will from the comfort of my own bed. Who’s winning at life now, huh?!?
