H&M presented their first fashion show in 8 years (!!) last night at Paris Fashion Week in quite a grand way. The fast fashion retailer trotted 25 fall looks down the runway in the salons of the Rodin museum, which they transferred into a stately home, complete with a kitchen and lounge. And the attendees were just as grand: Hamish Bowles, Emmanuelle Alt, Anna Dello Russo and Ashley Olsen were all on hand at the intimate affair. Look who’s movin’ on up.
The next hurdle to tackle for the brand is clearly their long-postponed eCommerce site. Though they’ve been promising an online shopping site for forever, the closest we’ve gotten was a micro site that was briefly launched for last year’s Fashion Star. But just this past Monday night, one of our editors was shopping in an NYC H&M, and she got some MAJOR scoop. According to a store employee, at their most recent staff meeting they announced the official launch for the eCommerce site as … this June 2013. Eek! And it sounds like it’s really happening this time. Keep posted to SHEfinds and we promise to keep you in the loop as more details emerge.
