Justin Bieber's Latest Album Is Already Beating One Direction On iTunes!
November 13, 2015
What happens when One Direction and Justin Bieber drop an album on the same day? Their fans become as competitive as ever trying to get their faves to the top. One Direction’s album Made In The A.M. and Bieber’s album Purpose both released today, and while we had anticipated the unspoken competition between which album would beat the other, right now the Beliebers are winning.
What makes the release of these two albums even more interesting is that these albums were both highly anticipated and near and dear to the artists. Purpose is Bieber’s first album in three years, while Made In The A.M. is the last One Direction album with Zayn Malik and the start to the band’s year-long hiatus.
While Bieber’s latest album currently sits at the top of the iTunes charts, the Purpose non-deluxe edition ranks at no. 10 on the albums chart. We already knew this was going to be Bieber’s year, but he’s seriously killing it!
Since it’s only been a few hours since both albums went live, the competition for first place is still up for grabs. Will Bieber keep his place or will the One Directioners turn the tables? We’ll have to see! Also, once Adele’s album 25 drops on November 20th, inevitably that will change everything.
