Before last year, I’d never heard of KEEN. And then I started writing for MOMfinds and all of a sudden it seemed like I was writing about KEEN’s every day last spring and summer. That’s because tons of celebrity kids were spotted rocking the Zuma sandals and just about every retailer I talked to said KEEN’s were consistent bestsellers.
Well, I wasn’t going to let another year go by without testing these shoes everyone was raving about for myself, so when offered the opportunity to review the new spring collection, I got my daughter then adorable new Coronado mary janes.
She’s been wearing them for the last few days and surprise, surprise, we love them. My daughter shoe obsession of the moment is mary janes, but she especially loves these because they’re more like a sneaker than a delicate dress shoe. Even though she’s wearing “princess shoes,” she can run and kick and do all the things a 2-year-old does without slipping or stubbing her toe.
And that’s what I love. That rubber toe is amazing because my daughter drags her feet and inevitably destroys the front of any shoe that isn’t reinforced. Because these have a sturdy rubber outsole that extends over the toe, I know I won’t have to replace these before spring is over.
