Lancôme by Alber Elbaz, a collaboration between the Parisian cosmetic brand and the iconic Lanvin designer, will hit stores on June 15th of this year. Youcef Nabi, Lancôme International president, said of the brand’s choice to partner with Elbaz:
Alber Elbaz is, without a doubt, one of the world’s most influential fashion designers. But beyond that, he is also the most talented. His sense of luxury, his vision of femininity and that hint of audacity resonate perfectly with the new values of Maison Lancôme. We are extremely proud and happy that he is set to channel his universe into the world of make-up for the very first time.
The limited-edition collection will feature brightly-hued eyeshadows and lipsticks, as indicated by the teaser video (below), which Elbaz illustrated himself.
The line marks Lancôme’s second announced high-end collaboration of 2012; the brand revealed last month that it would be partnering with Olympia le Tan for a Valentine’s Day-themed collection.
