Toddler Lingerie: Pretty or Perverse?

August 18, 2011 by Mom Jeanine

Earlier this week Fashionista shined the spotlight on Jours Apres Lunes, a French brand that makes lingerie. For toddlers.

In a market overflowing with Dora the Explorer and Barbie panties, I have to say I kind of like these undies. No one can deny they’re pretty and they’re probably incredibly well-made. Just like mom, most little girls want to feel pretty and nothing helps accomplish that like a frilly, lace-y pair of panties.

Of course, things get a little sticky when you put actual children in said panties. Surprisingly, I don’t have a problem with the undies–it’s seeing little girls all dolled up in the undies that’s a little unsettling.

Creepy ads aside–and the fact that they’re probably a bagillion dollars–I would totally buy my little girl fancy undies like these. They’re pretty and they’ll be covered up most of the time anyway. How about you? Would you buy “lingerie” for your toddler? Share your opinion in the comments.
