Lip Balm Brand EOS Is Being Sued By Customers For Reportedly Causing Rashes
January 19, 2016
First, hundreds of customers filed a class-action lawsuit against WEN hair care and now customers are doing the same against EOS lip balm. A woman named Rachel Cronin is leading the suit, saying the product gave her an “awful” experience.
According to TMZ, Cronin says, “within hours of applying the balm, her lips felt like sandpaper, so she applied it again. She claims her lips started cracking, flaking and bleeding, creating blisters and rashes which lasted 10 days.”
The lawsuit was filed by Mark Geragos and he is seeking damages and demands corrective advertising. There’s no word yet on how the specific amount customers are seeking in damages.
Many celebrities including Hilary Duff, Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears and more are spokespeople for the brand.
EOS has yet to respond.
UPDATE: EOS released an official statement regarding the class-action lawsuit.
