Remember the colorful Louis Vuitton bags celebrities flaunted in the early 2000s? Unfortunately, after a long 12 years they are being discontinued. The collection designed by artist Takashi Murakami debuted in 2003 under the reign of Marc Jacobs.

According to WWDa sales associate at Louis Vuitton’s Saks Fifth Avenue shop said the Multicolore monogram collection “leaving stores at the end of July, forever.” Representatives for LV declined to comment on the situation but expressed they want to “look forward.” For now, customers can still shop items from the Multicolore collection. The Saks Fifth Avenue location has pieces on display in a glass case while its flagship store on 57th Street keeps the Multicolore collection off the floor unless it’s specifically asked for.

The Multicolore LV bags personified fashion from 2003-2004. Celebrities like Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson and Nicole Richie were always pictured carrying bags from the collection. It’s the end of an era. So sad.
