Macy’s was feeling the pressure from their rivals and decided to start planning holiday sales and deals WAY early this year. Even though Target, Walmart and The Gap have yet to announce their holiday plans, we know one thing for sure-Macy’s will be open on Thanksgiving. 750 locations will open their doors at 8 p.m. on Turkey Day so you can start your holiday shopping right after stuffing your face!!
This is the first time ever that Macy’s will be open for Thanksgiving. Last year, the store opened it’s doors at midnight right after the holiday. But thanks to all those crazy demanding holiday shoppers, they decided to open earlier this year. According to the Huffington Post, the store will remain open for 24 hours straight until the close of business Friday, which is around 10 p.m. (so more than 24 hours, actually). We’re hoping this early announcement means Macy’s has some good in-store sales and deals planned on Thanksgiving Day. We’re sure that some holiday must-haves will be selling out during the 26 hour period. Will you head to Macy’s right after your Thanksgiving feast to get a head start on holiday shopping?
