Mario Testino’s Collection For Net-A-Porter Is The Next Best Thing To A Trip To Peru
June 5, 2013
Peruvian photographer Mario Testino can now add “designer” to his resume. The famed photographer teamed up with the MATE Asociación, a non-profit cultural institution founded to promote the arts in Lima, Peru, and Net-A-Porter to create an exclusive collection of accessories and t-shirts. The collection includes jewelry, designed by Vicki Beamon, clutches, totes and shirts. All the prints are taken straight from Testino’s Alta Moda exhibition, which features portraits of Peruvians in traditional attire. The festive jewelry and clothing make us want to book the next flight to Peru. Plus, Net-A-Porter will donate a percentage of each purchase to MATE, so you can help the future Mario Testino get his start.
The collection’s jewelry takes the pom pom trend to a whole new level. We’re not sure who’s buying $1,640 pom pom necklaces, but most the jewelry is already out of stock! Click through the slideshow to check out the amazing jewelry and festive prints.
