For their spring 2013 collections, bastions of Parisian style Lanvin, Givenchy, and Christian Dior all had one thing in common: the metallic heeled shoe. Here’s the concept: It’s a leather shoe (typically a pump or a sandal) that’s entirely leather, save for the heel, which is metallic. The effect is dramatic, yet easy to wear and style. Wear a pair of metallic-heeled pumps to add interest to a basic skirt or dress; pair metallic-heeled flats with cigarette pants for a gamine look. Shop our favorite pairs in the slideshow.
