Mixed Bag Makes Errands Fashionable
March 18, 2008
I have really been trying to be more green. I recycle. I buy those funky, energy saving curly light bulbs. I buy organic (I have the grocery bill to prove it). The final frontier for me has been the grocery bag issue. While canvas bags are nice for a quick trip to the grocery store or the farmer’s market, they really aren’t great for those big family trips. Or the weekly trip to Target for that matter. Canvas bags usually don’t have much structure, aren’t very big, and they don’t fold flat for storage.
Well, I finally have found the perfect solution. Mixed Bag Designs make the most adorable bags you’ve ever seen. There are really stylish designs and colors–from cutesy polka dots to simple stripes. They are made of the same material as tarps—so they are very sturdy, fold down flat, and easily wipe clean. They are 30% bigger than a paper grocery bag so they will hold more too. These bags are so darn adorable that I plan on using them for the dry cleaning, the beach, or any other place that I need to tote a lot of junk. My favorite is the Soho Black and White Swirl Eco Bag ($6).
