MomTested: The New BABYBJÖRN Trainer Cup

I received the BABYBJÖRN Cup last week to try out with my 17-month old, and we’re both pretty impressed. The sippy cup colors are bright and fun, and it fits perfectly in her little hands. But most impressive is that the cup doesn’t tip over when she pushes or bumps it on the table—it’s cleverly designed with a low center of gravity and a wide rubber base, so it glides on the table instead of tipping over.

BabyBjorn Cup Review But don’t get me wrong.  It can still get wet at the dinner table because the cup doesn’t have a lid.  Although my daughter hasn’t completely turned the cup upside down (yet), she still likes to stick her hand inside the cup to splash the water around. But that’s my fault, not the cup’s.

This trainer cup is $15, which is on the higher end, but like other BABYBJÖRN baby gear, it’s worth the extra few bucks. Also, bonus points for being BPA free and safe to use in the dishwasher, microwave and freezer.

Age: 8 months and up.

Price: $15
