This is the second recent expansion for Lhuillier. In July she announced a line of shoes for Spring 2013, with a Madison Avenue store opening this month. The deal with Blue Nile, however, is the company’s first designer-branded partnership.
Monique Lhuillier Fine Jewelry will launch in October with engagement rings and wedding bands. The collection will include her signature lacework with engraving and micro pavé details. Each piece will be set with Blue Nile diamonds and platinum. Prices will range from $2,000 to $5,000. More pieces, including earrings, necklaces and pendants will be released for Valentine’s Day 2013.
The jewelry adds to Lhuillier’s offerings of tabletop, bridesmaids dresses, stationery, home fragrance and ML Monique Lhuillier, an eveningwear collection.
“There is no symbol of love more permanent or meaningful than an engagement ring,” said Ms. Lhuillier. “To know that I continue to touch the lives of so many brides is a very special feeling.”
