Most People Own Moleskine Notebooks, Yet No One Knows How To Pronounce It--Until Now

Pretty much everyone I know owns a Moleskine notebook. In fact, Moleskine notebooks were used by Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso and Ernest Hemingway. What’s so good about these notebooks? They are simple, durable and can be used for anything from a food journal to a wedding planner to a classic diary. With so many people owning and loving Moleskine products, you would think everyone knows how to pronounce it. Turns out, that’s not the case.

I pronounce it like “mole skin” but apparently a lot of people say it differently. So many customers wrote to the company asking the correct way to say their name and they put together this video:


According to Moleskine, “there is no predetermined answer” and “everyone should feel free to pronounce it as he/she prefers.” Well, there you have it!
