Mrs. O Can't Get Enough Of New York, Brings Isaac Along With Her

MObama was in NY again yesterday,  busy cutting ribbons at the Met and then attending the American Ballet Opening Night Spring Gala. For day, Michelle opted for a springy lilac dress and coat combo by Isaac Mizrahi (Bravo should be thrilled). She then donned a shimmery Alaia for the evening's gala. We're wondering if the choice was an apology of sorts for the miscredited Times Magazine frock. Or maybe she just likes Alaia.

Purple is definitely an appropriate, yet often intimidating color to wear in warm weather. We suggest trying it out in a day dress like this short-sleeved version from ecoSkin ($128, was $160) or this Trina Turk deep-v frock ($268).
