Mugler creative director and Lady Gaga BFF Nicola Formichetti has paid tribute to the singer with the brand’s debut line of handbags. And not just her general aura — but her literal ass. The designer told WWD back in September that he modeled the line off Gaga’s backside – and that the pop star “didn’t know yet,” that her tuckus was his design inspiration.
The spring/summer 2013 collection, which hits later this month, is priced $900 to $1,550, and includes embossed leather, metallic calf, rubbed croc and embossed leather bags – quite an exotic variety. Just like Lady Gaga’s closet (we’d imagine).
