My Face Would Suck Without You: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer
September 16, 2013
Introducing the newest column to Shefinds.com: “My _____ would suck without you.” It’s basically our editors telling you their favorite product and why they just can’t live without it. It could be makeup, a pair of shoes, or even a witty blog. Think of it is our version of Oprah‘s favorite things.
I discovered Laura Mercier‘s tinted moisturizer during one of my many browsing sessions through Sephora. I was just strolling through the aisles when the purple packaging caught my eye, and I thought to myself, “This would be great for my trip to Europe.” It was light and easy to use, and under 3 oz. so I could take it on the plane. I’ve been sold ever since!
What is it: A combo of makeup and moisturizer. It has all the vitamins and minerals you need to keep give your skin that dewey look, and it has SPF 20 to protect your face from sun damage. Added bonus? It’s Oil-free.
Why I love it: This product is perfect when you want to quickly even out your skin and don’t feel like wearing a heavy foundation. It’s super lightweight and looks completely natural, but it has enough tint to cover up my redness. You can also get a ton of milage from one tube. I’ve had mine for almost two years and it still has plenty left, which isn’t something you can say about most foundations and moisturizers. My favorite part about it is that is has SPF built in. With all the scolding from doctors about not wearing makeup with SPF, its about time a good product as all the right ingredients.
Where you can get it: You can find this product at Sephora and most major department stores. But if I’ve sold you already, you can get yours here: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 – Oil Free ($43). For easy application, try out the Sephora Collection Classic Must Have Foundation Brush #10 ($24). This helps it go on smooth without messing up your fingers.
