FIRST LOOK: Marc Jacobs Is Launching Nail Polish!

If you haven’t read the first reviews or seen pics of Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2013 show, you’re missing out. It was  huge success and everyone is saying there couldn’t have been a better designer to end fashion week. We totally agree–and not just because the clothes were amazing. Immediately following the show, Instagram and Twitter were aflutter with images of a Marc Jacobs nail polish bottles backstage. Editors from Glamour and the WSJ got a sneak peek of the line–which we of course shared with you immediately. One editor went so far as to confirm that the polish will be availble this fall. Another reported that the clear polish, called  “Shiny,” is the designer’s favorite.

We’re not sure whether this is separate from or a part of his upcoming Sephora line, also slated to hit this fall. He already has a hugely successful fragrance lineup (Daisy, Dot and more), so a complete cosmetics collection, including nail polish, was a natural next step. Details are scarce now, but the bottle looks super cool, and we already want that shade of red.

We’ll be following details on Marc Jacobs nail polish right up until it hits, so stay tuned.

In the mean time, shop NFYW’s black nail trend, the polish used at Oscar de la Renta’s Fall 2013 show and Butter London’s lip gloss and nail duo.
