The reactions to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s Vogue cover have ranged from the indignant to the indifferent. But Naomi Campbell, God bless her, probably has had the best response to the #worldsmosttalkedaboutcouple’s Fashion Bible debut yet.
The legendary supermodel and host of The Face was merrily chatting with anchors Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillie during an appearance on Australia’s The Morning Show, when she was asked for her thoughts on Kimye’s now-infamous cover. Her response? Pure gold.
“I do not want to comment on that,” she replied, throwing the most diplomatic shade we’ve ever heard from her, before dissolving into bemused cackles. Damn, homegirl couldn’t even keep a straight face! “I’m a fashion model, and I’ve been working for 28 years and when you get a Vogue cover, it’s a build in your career, it’s a stepping stone… and, you know, I’m a fashion model, what more can I say?” Gillie pressed, asking if she thought the couple didn’t deserve the cover. “I’m being politically correct,” Campbell answered, with that same smug little smirk on her face.
Ya’ll… Mother Naomi had me falling out! Peep the shady exchange below.
