NARS Reveals Its Next Artsy Beauty Collab: Photographer Guy Bourdin
September 27, 2013
Following in the footsteps of Andy Warhol, Guy Bourdin has been revealed as the next collaborator for NARS. The duo is launching a 16-piece color cosmetics and gifting line that’s inspired by Bourdin’s photographs. The two products we can’t wait to get our hands on are the eye shadow and lipstick. Both are made with a new formula and designed to bring color to life, like you’re in a movie or something. It’s all high-shine, high-gloss, and highly saturated. You can also get blush and nail polish as part of the collection.
This isn’t the first collab for NARS and Bourdin. He has shot campaigns for the beauty brand in the 2000’s, and even had his own collection named after a book of his photographs titled Exhibit A. Francois Nars told WWD, “This collection is a homage to Bourdin because he was such an inspiration in my life…There is a certain decadence in Guy’s work that really struck a chord with me.”
The collection ranges from about $20-30, and will be available in NARS boutiques and nars.com starting Oct. 15. The products will reach Sephora, department stores, and specialty stores starting Nov. 1.
