Brands have been doing pretty crazy things recently to announce new collabs, new stores openings, and new collections. Heck, H&M hired Lady Gaga to help open it’s new Times Square store. But Nasty Gal went another route, the Twitter route. Last week, the brand’s CEO tweeted on her personal page that they would soon be opening stores and were looking to fill some positions. We’re pretty sure her followers immediately went to fill out their own applications.
Since Nasty Gal is all about catering to the 20-somethings, it’s no wonder they used social media to share the big news. The brand originally started in 2006 as an eBay store, and then it soon found a following of bad-ass women that loved hunting for the latest vintage item. Now it employs over 300 people and averages over $100 million in yearly sales. Opening a real store seems like the logical next step, and we hope that it’s a success too.
