Netflix For Bags

The New York Times and Daily Candy scooped me on bagborroworsteal.com, but only because I was waiting to fill you in on the site until after I actually tried the service. If you haven’t heard – bagborroworsteal.com lets you lease a handbag — or multiple handbags — for a monthly fee. So if you’re the fickle type this is a great way to feed your obsession without diving deep into credit card debt hell.
I’m currently borrowing a baby blue leather number from Carla Mancini.
Pro: 1.) A way to indulge your fashionista handbag dreams without spending all your cash. 2.)You can rent a bag for special occasions. Remember – a handbag says a lot about a woman.
Con: 1.) If you are spill-prone (as I am) this could be a pricey experiment as you have to pay for any bag you damage and I’m not sure what they consider “normal wear and tear.” 2.) I’d like to see some more current and hard to find bags — Marc Jacobs, Luella Bartley, Jimmy Choo, Vuitton…dare to dream a Birkin???
