Don’t cry over broken glass! North Carolinan beach gal Colleen Toomey turns shards of glass into wearable pieces de art. For all you history buffs…the shards are from the ancient Chinese Imperial Era, specifically the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) to the Qing (Ching) Dynasty. During an archeologial dig in China, several old porcelain pottery factories were unearthed along the Yangtze River. All of Toomey’s shard jewelry is made from broken pieces discovered in the dig. These 900 year old relics are now part of gorgeous wearable art and can be yours for $30 to $40.
