New Designer Alert: Myna Bags

December 15, 2004 by

Emily and Margaret are both working Broadway performers (and best friends) who met when they were in the cast of Miss Saigon. They started myna because they were searching for a practical yet fashionable everyday tote. The girls wanted something they could carry to auditions and rehearsal ? a bag for their dance shoes, scripts, and music. They decided to design and create their own fabric tote ? one that was lightweight and functional yet still stylish and fun. Soon their totes and handbags were charming the Broadway community and the duo expanded into a variety of handbags, evening bags, clutches, beach bags, diaper bags and bridal bags. Emily and Margaret?s designs have been seen onstage in the Broadway musical Taboo, on the hit daytime drama ?All My Children,? and most recently myna was featured in ?Lucky? magazine.
