The snowstorm from yesterday will not put a cramp in New York Fashion Week’s style. Though some models and guests will not be able to attend due to canceled flights, designers improvised. Kenneth Cole sent his guests snow boots to attend last night’s amfAR party, and Rebecca Minkoff sent notes to editors, telling them to come see her collection in their galoshes, with offers of macaroons. See our guide to the best winter boots (they’re chic) so you’ll never be unprepared. [WWD]

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, a new UK study reports men prefer women in black underwear more than any other color. Red underwear tops the list as men’s least favorite. It’s time to check out our guide to sexy underwear and sexy bras so you can stock up on non-red pieces.  [The Telegraph]

A CFDA America Health Initiative panel is raising the issue of the minimum age for models, asking that it be 18. Find out more about Fashion Week–specifically how to sneak in. [Vogue UK]

According to Pantone, the top colors for the fall 2010 collections are purple orchid, a purple-chocolate, moss green, light gray, with a smattering of mustard yellow and corals, too, so get ready for a change. [WWD]
