1. Steve Madden ripped off another great boot; this time it’s a studded number from Isabel Marant.  The man just doesn’t learn his lesson – last week he was sued by Alexander McQueen.  We wonder who’s next?  [fashionista]

2. Shepard Fairey, the artist who made Obama’s “Hope” poster, will be releasing a collection with Levi’s on October 29.  The real question, of course, is whether Michelle will deem the clothes wearable. [WWD]

3. Marc Jacobs acknowledges, and explains, the recent demystification of fashion, with designers livestreaming and tweeting about their shows.  Whether or not the end result is that fashion is more egalitarian, we’ll always get in on the action by springing for a designer handbag. [Vogue UK]

4. Trovata sued Forever 21 for copyright infringement, and the latter company (which has been sued many times before) agreed to a settlement.  Avoid the fray with something real – we’d recommend a pair of booties. [Racked]
