News: Are You a TwattyGirl?
July 20, 2005
From Madonna to the gals on Sex and the City, outspoken and empowered females are nothing new to modern women. We’ve come a long way, baby! Joining these illustrious ranks is a new line with the wince-worthy name Twattygirl. Founder Precious Marlowe, the original TwattyGirl herself, aims to empower ambitious ladies with an overall image that is “the essence of a woman with attitude.†Currently featuring jewelry and apparel, TwattyGirl has plans to expand into a complete lifestyle brand based on the philosophy expressed in Marlowe’s upcoming book Bullet Proof: Things TwattyGirl Told You, But You Didn’t Want To Hear. Filled with glib slogans called “twattyisms†– for example, â€The best way to get over someone is to get under someone” – the book and brand are a bit like Samantha Jones in e-commerce form. In addition to the current goods, the book – along with a line of twattyism-themed greeting cards, an advice column, discussion forums, and more – will soon be available at TwattyGirl.com.
