Nicky Hilton's Matchy-Matchy Outfit: Looks Like She Raided Paris's Closet

Usually, Nicky Hilton is the more subdued and best-dressed Hilton sister. While Paris goes for gaudy all-pink, sparkly ensembles, Nicky is usually photographed in trendy celebrity designers like Alice + Olivia. Well, she much have raided her sister’s closet on Wednesday, because she stepped out in New York City wearing this baby blue, ill-fitting frock with matching toenails and a blue bag. Let’s break down the mini-fashion crisis here:

What she did wrong:

Nicky has a long, lean frame but somehow she made herself look wide and box-y in this square cut dress.

We love blue nail polish (as seen on Michelle Obama), but matching it to your entire outfit is a no-no.

We don’t mean to be the beauty police, too, but that middle part, wet-hair, low-bun look is doing nothing for her.

What she should have done:

Choosing a dress style with a v-neck rather than a crew neck would have done wonders for Nicky’s look. She should have gone with this great Boulee Natalie Dress ($264). The color is gorgeous and you can pair it with leggings for a nighttime look, too.

We love her studded purse, but it’s just too matchy-matchy in this case. She should have introduced another color to the outfit with this gorgeous caramel Rebecca Minkoff Pyramid Stud Nikki hobo ($650). The bag is so versatile, you could wear it every day in fall.

Ditch the shower shoes, Nicky, and go for an embellished or leather flat sandal. Our pick is these Tory Burch Emmy Thong Gold Mirror Leather Sandal ($195). The gold makes the simple thong style more fancy, and the shoe is shockingly comfortable.
