If you’re anything like us, you are so over bikinis and sandals and ready to break out those fall clothes. Plaid! Sweaters! Cardigans! It’s the best time of the year. But the thing is, we can’t actually wear that stuff for at least a couple of weeks (unless you want to pretend like you’re in a sauna, then by all means).

Lucky for us, designers were all like “let’s chop off the front and back of booties and make it a trend!” So now we have open toe and heel booties, which make no sense at all for a season that’s colder than the one before but hey, if it means we can start wearing boots in August, we’ll take it!  I’m not making this up guys. Michael Kors, Christopher Kane, Tracy Reese, Rebecca Minkoff and Tibi all sent this shoe style down the runway last February, and now it’s time to shop it. Click the slideshow to get your summer-to-fall booties now.
