It seems like everyone is going designer CRAZY right now. Between all of the designer sales that have been going on like Net-A-Porter and Saks Fifth Avenue, and all of the discount site launches like Nordstrom Rack and Loehmann’s, its safe to say that everyone still wants their designer goods. It also seems like everytime one retailer puts their designer products on sale, the rest have to follow through and do it too. So, it’s no surprise that eBay launched a designer ecommerce site in order to compete.
Unlike other sections of eBay’s site, the designer collective is auction-free. Now, you don’t have to worry about about other chicks snatching the bag you want. Each individual designer or brand owns and manages their own storefront on the site and will provide their own merchandise, and these are the one’s already participating: Calvin Klein, Nicole Miller, Elie Tahari, Alex and Ani, Badgley Mischka, Cynthia Rowley, Cynthia Vincent, House of Harlow 1960, Kenneth Jay Lane, Ramy Brook, Rebecca Minkoff, Ruffian, Siwy Denim, Tadashi Shoji, and True Religion. Later this year more designers will join the mix, and the retailer will add “destination shops” for designers from other countries. Basically, eBay just made itself your new one-stop-shop for everything designer, and we can’t wait to see it grow. But until then, happy shopping!
