Like your friend who recently bought an iPhone after stubbornly insisting for years that she “really has no use for a smart phone,” Zara has finally caught up with the rest of the world’s technological progress.
While we originally heard Zara was supposed to launch e-commerce in the U.S. for Spring 2011 (um, lies.), the Spanish retailer has finally set the date for September 7th, 2011—a full year after the brand launched e-commerce in Europe. Why Zara would first launch online shopping in countries that already have far more standing stores per capita than the US is still baffling to me, but I’ll probably get over it by September 7th.
Can’t wait until then? Check out our post on Suddenlee–the new online shopping venture that lets you buy from stores like H&M and Zara, thanks to the work of actual human beings.
