When I talk about how much I love shopping, people often think I have a bit of a problem. Finding a great deal on a pair of shoes I love or jeans that look great on me brings me such joy, I get giddy just thinking about it.

For a long time, I’ve tried to explain why shopping was my happy activity, but there are still people that don’t get it. But now, thanks to Marshalls, there’s irrefutable evidence! According to Consumer Emotion and Behavior Expert Peter Noel Ph.D., our lives are enriched by surprise. In fact, 77% of women feel happy and excited when they shake up their routines.
