Let’s be clear: most people don’t like getting up in the morning, whether you had a good night’s sleep or not. However, once our alarms go off, we really should just get out of bed instead of hitting snooze. Here’s why.
We should all do our best to get up immediately after our alarm sounds. Snoozing (and falling back asleep) can actually make us feel ultra groggy. In order to ease into the transition of sleepiness to wakefulness, use a relaxing song to wake you up. Also, try setting your alarm away from you so that you have to actually get up to turn it off (don’t you dare go lie back down, you’re only hurting yourself).
