I’m guessing I’m not the only person who went a little crazy with the cropped flare jeans trend this summer? Full disclosure: I have 5 pairs. I was just so excited to finally have an alternative to skinnies that actually looked good on my body, I went a little crazy. What initially seemed like a good idea, though, quickly had me thinking: what the heck am I going to do with these pants that leave my ankles exposed once the weather gets cold?!

In general, if you want to pair your cropped flares with ankle boots, look for booties that come up to the point on your leg where your cropped flare jeans end. If you’re thinking lace-up flats or loafers, just go for it!
