Even if buying a coat is the last thing on your mind so close to summer, you will want to hear this. Because come fall, One Frickin’ Coat will have become the season’s hottest commodity, and you should know about it.
According to Vogue, the asymmetrical black number (seen above) was created after Elettra Wiedemann found her favorite coat falling apart. Instead of retiring the jacket and purchasing a new one (after all that’s what regular people do), Wiedemann teamed up with Gryphon’s Aimee Cho to recreate the coat. We haven’t been this excited since the launch of Wren X Claire Vivier reversible totes.
Created by Gryphon, in collaboration with One Frickin’ Day, a charity which aims to raise money for various low and high impact projects, $665 wool and cashmere coat is not only chic but also water-repellent. But the best part? The coat can take you day to night, with an oversized collar which you can flip up to reveal a collar of sequins. Meaning while $665 might sounds a little steep, it’s totally worth it. One Frickin’ Coat will launch in stores, just in time for September’s fashion month–but why risk it when you can get it now? We’re predicting you’ll see more than one celeb rocking this come fall.
