You know when you purchase a pair of earrings they usually come with a giant plastic piece that’s attached to the backing? Well, apparently you’re supposed to remove the plastic part. Say what?! Chelsea Smith posted her amazing discovery on Twitter and women everywhere are realizing they’ve been making the same mistake. Chelsea posted this wonderful piece of knowledge:
After my nineteen years of living i have now realized that you are supposed to take the plastic part off pic.twitter.com/ejValCaa7G

Her now famous tweet has been retweeted over 40 thousand times! Some women can’t even believe it:

While others don’t agree with Chelsea and say the plastic part actually has a purpose:
@Chelsea__Smithh NO!!! The plastic piece helps distribute weight on heavy earrings and makes it more comfortable. Promise!

@Chelsea__Smithh I leave mine on 1) I can't get the plastic off 2) it helps stabalize the earrings to my ears so they no longer pull

So, ladies, do you keep the plastic on or take it off?!
