News: Online Retailers Want You To Get Married--Or Just Wear White

Seems like saying “I do” is the trend du jour for online retailers who continue to announce expansions into the bridal scene. According to WWD, Gilt will team up with Martha Stewart Weddings and sell wares to bridal parties with a sample sale starting March 12–see the sneak peek photos above, and lasting until Sunday evening, a first for the company. If you fancy yourself more of a hipster, Urban Outfitters announced a new bridal line with Anthropologie to start selling on a separate site, and for the fashion forward, money-is-no-option set, Net-a-Porter’s weddings category launched in late February, but seems to just be a collection of overpriced white tops, dresses, and pants.  Luckily for everyone, white is a huge trend for spring. Here are three white dresses you don’t need to say “I do” for.

This Halston Heritage Stretch-jersey V-neck dress ($325) is the same dress Sarah Jessica Parker wears in the Sex and the City Two trailer. The jersey fabric makes it comfortable for night and day.

This Ella Moss Celine Dress ($129.99, down from $177) is 100% silk, but it has a very casual elegance, and you can dress it up or down.

Cotton eyelet never goes out of style, and this Charlotte Russe Belted Eyelet Dress ($34.00) would look good with a blazer for work, or as it is in the picture for a spring date.
