Color changing nail polish is nothing new, but as a die hard nail polish addict, I’ve been waiting for a version that isn’t so gimmicky. I finally got my hopes up with ORLY’s Shade Shifter color-changing top coat. You apply 2 coats over any ORLY Gel FX shades and if you’re warm, the Shade Shifter top coat becomes clear, revealing the Gel FX color underneath. If you’re cool, the shade shifter formula works with the Gel FX formular to change the manicure to a darker hue (check out the tutorial here). I love that ORLY’s color-changing polish is a gel manicure version; it’s fun, but it doesn’t look to childish. Unfortunately, right now it is only available in salons, so you have get a mani to try it out.
