My fashion vocabulary expanded quickly this year after seeing countless celebs in “peplum” dresses (they’re also called “crumb-catchers” but we refuse to use that term). Emma Stone rocked a sizzling hot pink Giambattista Valli peplum skirt and suddenly, peplum dresses were spotted on celebs all over the place. Combined with spring’s minty fresh palette or floral mantra, the peplum rage continues into warm weather. Take a dip into the fashion trend with a peplum top, easily paired with a pencil skirt or skinny jeans or go the other way with a peplum skirt and tuck in a fitted shirt for a clean look. Although fear of appearing large hipped may rattle your confidence, don’t fear and keep it basic with tight fits on your other pieces.
