Peter Pan Has Nothin' On Our New Favorite Collar Trend: Colorblocking, Aka The Oxford Collar

We have been gaga over blouses this season (case in point), as the classic cotton version has gotten a modern makeover in silks, neons and other bold designs.  And just when we thought designers like Tibi and Equipment had done all they could with the style, along comes the Oxford collar: a trend that includes embellished or color-blocked collars.  Catherine Deneuve introduced the statement collar in the 1967 ‘Belle du Jour’ film and now,  Brooklyn Decker, Alexa Chung, and more are carrying the torch.

Who knew the men’s oxford shirt could provide such frivolous options? The versatility of the blouse allows this collar trend to be worn to work, out to play, and always to impress. Looking classy chic never felt so feminine and trendy.
