Ask any person who is a beauty junkie if they’ve heard of philosophy‘s Hope in a Jar face moisturizer and they will likely say something like, “GIRL, where you BEEN?” Which is probably what everyone reading this post is thinking about me… but as someone who enjoys looking fresh-faced yet doesn’t know the difference between foundation and concealer, this product is news to me.
I knew Hope in a Jar ($44) was the real deal after spending a week in the desert from the end of December to just after New Year’s. I’m not prone to dry skin on my face, which is lucky, but no one is immune to the arid air of New Mexico, Arizona (especially!!) and Nevada. I could see the dry patches on my face by the end of the seven days and it was NOT a cute look.
I made the mistake of not bringing Hope in a Jar with me on vacay. Within a day of being back in New York City and using the face moisturizer, my skin was in repair mode. I’ve never seen a product work so efficiently and quickly!
But besides being a dry skin savior, Hope in a Jar also made my face insanely soft. Like, no joke, I find myself stroking my cheek at my desk and don’t even realize what I’m doing for a good two minutes…. that’s how good it feels. The consistency of the cream is pretty thick and it doesn’t just disappear into your skin upon application, you have to rub that stuff in, which must be why your skin becomes silky smooth. It really gets under there!
I could go on praising this cream for its benefits but I think you get the idea. I just want to get the word out to those of you, like me, who don’t know cult beauty items but still care about using quality products.
Now it’s time you try Hope in a Jar for yourself!
