Dutch designer Maarten Van Der Horst might not have the same name-brand clout as past Topshop collaborators like Christopher Kane and prints princess Mary Katrantzou, but his splashy Hawaiian print pieces are just what we need for spring.
Van Der Horst told Vogue UK that his signature look is the “drag-ified Hawaiian shirt,” and his Topshop collection collection is just that. The Central Saint Martins grad produced a line of 8 pieces for the fast fashion retailer, most of which are covered in leafy Hawaiian patterns straight out of your dad’s 1989 vacation wardrobe. The collex also features pops of neon pink in the forms of an oversized tee, bike shorts, and crop top, which totally completes the ’80s flashback.
Van Der Horst’s goods are available now on Topshop.com (though the prices are in pounds even on the US site, so perhaps it’s a fluke) and in stores May 4. Check out the full collex in our slideshow above.
