Collaborations are like a game of Angry Birds. Once you start, you can’t stop. Real life fashion example: Marni. After their successful Marni for H&M collection, the European brand known for its bright prints and psychedelic patterns tapped the talent of artist Brian Rea, who has previously collaborated with the likes of Kate Spade and Billabong and served as the art director for The New York Times Op-Ed page.

Part Little Prince, part Where the Wild Things Are, the Brian Rea for Foulard Marni Winter Edition collection features neoprene turtlenecks and leather totes with whimsical scribbles of a Carol-like creatures, giants and penguins interacting with human characters. Our favorite: a girl traversing the dessert with two penguins by her side. While only one style of totes ($350) and two styles of turtlenecks ($660-$770) are currently available to purchase as part of the preview collection, view our slideshow for more of the collection and stay tuned for the launch of the full line.
