If we can pair fashion with music and art, then we can pair fashion with fruit, too. Why? Well, for starters, bananas are a go-to exclamatory for both musician-turned-designer/style icon Gwen Stefani and Rachel ZoeLucky magazine Editor-in-Chief Eva Chen always starts her day with a juicy red apple (check the photographic evidence on her Instagram). Plus, we can’t forget Stella McCartney and Prada‘s talked-about Spring 2011 collections, which both featured fruits in trippy motifs. So if we had to choose one particular fruit that’s having a major moment in fashion this season, it has to be the pineapple.

Sure, the sweet treat is mostly associated with a certain yellow cartoon who lives under the sea, but that’s what makes the pineapple so quirkily attractive. It’s perfect for fun all-over prints, a pair of statement earrings, or even a festive swimsuit for your upcoming getaway. (You might even pair it with your palm tree print apparel.) From beach towels to T-shirts, check out our slideshow of pineapple prints that are definitely not as sticky as the actual fruit (check plus!).

But wait, there’s more: Nike x Liberty of London’s newest collab collection, the best shops for festival threads, and the printed jogger pants trend.
