Pinterest is the latest procrastination tool of the masses — you can’t get away with using Facebook at work anymore, but Pinterest? Maybe.
The site’s clout is most recently demonstrated by a Pinners’ partnership with Calypso St. Barth (a luxury beachwear company who also collabo’d with Target). One of the site’s most influential users, Christine Martinez (“Chrisem“), was tapped to travel to St. Barth and “live Pin” her vacation (not a bad gig). Calypso is confident that the partnership will drive traffic to her site and sales to theirs, since they said in an interview that they have already seen “ROI [return on investment]” from Pinterest.
