The Question: We asked what you thought of Lauren Conrad's choice of outfit when the Hills girls took a business trip to New York. Although Teen Vogue's editor mocked Whitney for her wardrobe choice, we thought Lauren got off pretty easy. Did you feel her dress was meeting-appropriate or better for a dinner date?
The Results: Amazingly, SheFinds readers were equally divided. 33% of you said you'd wear this dress to your own office, another 33% deemed it appropriate only for an important meeting, and 34% called the slmi-fitting frock too sexy for work. We're sure the even split probably has something to do with different office cultures, since fashion choices in a law office likely look different than those in the publishing world. That said, having worked in the world of glossy magazines ourselves, we wouldn't trot this dress out unless we had a party to attend or a meeting with a big name designer.
All of this brings up the interesting question of dress code and how it can vary so widely. What industry do you work in, and what style rules do you follow in your office? Let us know in the comments below!
