Proenza Schouler's MAC Line Will Feature Ombre Powder & 'Extremely Unique' Packaging

Literally, what can’t these boys do? Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler have a huge cult following and are well-respected in the fashion biz, not to mention the PS1 is the designer “It” bag for the cool downtown chick. So since they already have the world wrapped around their fingers, why not do a makeup collection with MAC?

The two brands actually have a long standing relationship, with MAC creating all the beauty looks for Proenza’s runway shows. So it’s kind of a no-brainer that they would team up. For their first mass market collab, the Proenza Schouler limited edition collection will feature Ombre Face Powders, Lipsticks, Pro Longwear Eye Liners and Lip Pencils, Nail Lacquers, and a 129SE Powder Brush. Apparently, the packaging will be just as awesome as the makeup itself. It’s inspired by an as-yet-unknown past collection and is being deemed “extremely unique”. Since this ad is the only image we have from the line, we can either expect crazy neon and tie dye colors, or a fresh-faced neutral palette a lá every Proenza beauty look ever. We have until April 2014 when the line hits in-stores and online to figure it out.
